For over 100 years people have come to Lava Hot Springs to partake of the healing waters.  Before white man settled here Indians of the Northwest gathered at the hot mineral waters to bathe, rest and worship.  This area was neutral ground shared by all tribes.  We encourage you to visit the Bannock Historical Museum on Main Street to discover more about Lava Hot Springs and the surrounding area.
